If they go off book, however, and draw fire from social media — then they just might have to pay for their transgressions with their livelihoods. This type of shaming is about control, and its odd that it is corporate sanctioned. I sincerely hope that Joey lands on his feet somewhere, even though I hate his opinions, his schtick and his overall routine.
Godspeed everyone. Great comment Miguel Cercone. Well said and thanks for having the courage to say it. Like you, I have been following this site for many years and for likely the very same reasons you have. What was once entertaining and informative is now, basically, a shaming site. Drumanchor — I take your criticism. We used to write a lot about Shannon or Simmons for what they wrote or said.
Now we write about what people tweet, since that is often what makes news. The shaming is being done by the social media boosters. Also, I included zero editorial content to this post. They used to be the uncool guys in high school. Now that they grew up they seek justice for everything, even for random shit like this.
Woke people are weak people in the first life. Joey is a multimillionaire guy who had a hell of a life. He had a podcast for fun. Now guys go back at barely making 6 figures and having a shitty life. Oh my, the whining on this thread about basic consequences coming to a mediocre radio talent in a marginal and inconsequential time slot.
How do you people actually live in the world? Vendetta made a comment that was ill timed, hurtful and frankly abysmally uncaring. But save me the political correctness bullshit. Anyone who wants to pull out that canard is just devoid of any better rationalization for their contempt for people wanting society to be a bit more fair.
Those two were both good at their hits. Mike In Boston, I did notice your lack of editorializing. You handle stuff great, imo, pretty much every time out. A couple of big radio stories the last few days. Radio for the Jays is back — and not a moment too soon. Written By: mike in boston.

And the crowd at the 3,seat Chicago Theatre stayed for the entire performance and continued to cheer Sheen throughout. The talk show-style format kept Sheen from meandering and gave him the chance to make some of the snarky comments that have made him an Internet star since his falling out with CBS and the producers of Two and a Half Men.
I ran out of things to buy. For Scoleri, it means double duty: handling the marketing for most of the concert tours that Live Nation is currently promoting and joining Sheen on the road until the tour wraps in Everett, Wash.
Scoleri also said the Sheen shows are selling well, despite reports about people trying to unload tickets at or below cost. The Canadian Press reported Monday that many vendors are having a hard time reselling tickets to the Toronto and Vancouver shows. The seven-minute parody intercuts his newly taped responses with questions posed by ABC News correspondent Andrea Canning in the interview that aired last month.
As Canning is seen repeatedly asking Sheen if he's on drugs and when he last used them, the actor makes fun of his various catch phrases, his many slogan-embossed T-shirts and his nicotine habit. At one point, he poses with cigarettes jamming his nostrils and both ears. The wacky video had been viewed more than , times by Monday afternoon.
